佛身上的異相之一，表示吉祥無(wú)比。印度傳說(shuō)以為是有德者的標幟。在梵語(yǔ)佛經(jīng)中本非字，唯在中國皆收入字書(shū)中。卍字之形諸書(shū)亦不統一，也作「卐」。《龍龕手鑑·雜部》：「卐，音萬(wàn)。是如來(lái)身有吉祥文也?！?/span>
