國語(yǔ)辭典古時(shí)舞者用彩錦纏頭，當賓客宴集，賞舞完畢，常贈羅錦給舞者為彩，稱(chēng)為「纏頭」。對于青樓歌妓，賓客也往往賜錦，或以財物代替。后把送給歌伎或妓女之財物稱(chēng)為「纏頭」。唐．白居易〈琵琶行〉：「五陵年少爭纏頭，一曲紅綃不知數?！?/span>宋．陸游〈梅花絕句〉一○首之四：「濯錦江邊憶舊游，纏頭百萬(wàn)醉青樓?！?/span>
回人以白布纏頭，稱(chēng)為「纏頭回子」。也稱(chēng)為「纏回」。
