國語(yǔ)辭典順著(zhù)水流的方向推船。比喻順應情勢行事。元．康進(jìn)之《李逵負荊．第三折》：「你休得順水推船，偏不許我過(guò)河拆橋?！埂段拿餍∈罚谝蝗亍罚骸概c其將來(lái)走入邪路，一發(fā)而不可收，何如我此時(shí)順水推船，借了洋人勢力，籠絡(luò )他們，預弭將來(lái)之患，豈不是好？」也作「順水推舟」、「順水行舟」。
