國語(yǔ)辭典泛指各種主要的穀物。但五穀說(shuō)法不一，比較普通的說(shuō)法以稻、黍、稷、麥、菽為五穀。《孟子．滕文公上》：「后稷教民稼穡，樹(shù)藝五穀?！?/span>《西遊記．第八回》：「世有五穀，儘能濟饑，為何喫人度日？」
